Great GPS Navigation system
I've never used a navigation system before and I was surprised how easy it was to use. It continues to get me to where I want to go and home again without worrying about maps or trying to read a map while driving. It was easy to plan a route and even easier to listen to the directions. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a gps system.

Easy to use, doesnot tell you it is recalculating just does it and the larger screen is nice too. The price through amazon was much cheaper than retail outlets.


TomTom - think twice about buying refurbished
I was delighted to get a good deal on a TomTom, even though it was refurbished. It arrived and was easy to get running very quickly. But apparently when you buy a refurbished device you don't get an update to the maps like with brand new devices. That was a disappointment.

Overall, I like the device. I like the ability to customize voices and the voice address input works pretty well. The interface is not quite as intuitive as I would like. I am not asking for sheer simplicity as I am a pretty advanced gadget geek. But some simplicity and logic could be employed in the menu/icon layouts and layers.

It does have some map flaws that I noticed right away when traveling through an adjacent neighborhood near my home. The TomTom's mapping provider made it confusing, even though I generally knew the route.

The volume is also very disappointing. I have to input into my car stereo when on the highway so I can hear the directions clearly.

Aside from the map flaws (which are pretty standard for these devices), volume issue and the lack of one provided update, I am pleased with the purchase. I previously owned oe of the GPS for Dummies devices. TomTom could learn a few things from that device, particularly in terms of searching and points of interest.

Bottom line: DO NOT BUY A REFURBISHED DEVICE if you expect it to contain all the same features and perks of a new-in-box item.

The GPS function is great and as advertised. Easy to program with good graphics and verbal directions are understandable. The bluetooth function is not compatible with all cellphones, have to upgrade my phone before I can test and evaluate the bluetooth function. My phone is less than 2 years old, kind of disappointing......


Beware of Refurbished-No Current Update
I read several reviews on buying refurbished TomTom's. Some said you get a coupon included for a free update and others said that they just called TomTom and they reluctantly allowed them to get the most current map update. I bought a refurbished one as a gift for my sister because I loved my TomTom GPS.

Beware! The refurb unit did not come with a coupon code and when I called TomTom they absolutely would not give me an update. I even talked to the main supervisor and even when I explained that I loved my TomTom and recommended their GPS unit to everyone, he would not budge. I even sent him a webpage from "[...]" which said that every refurbished unit comes with a coupon code for a free update. He said that website is not affiliated with TomTom and they are not responsible for their misinformation. He said he could not make an exception, even as a matter of good customer relations.

Bottom line is that TomTom offers a very good GPS product that I would still recommend to anyone. Just beware of buying a refurb. The unit worked and looked new but if having the most current map update is important, be prepared to spend the or so to get it. Also, hopefully you will not need to count on TomTom to do the right thing if you need customer service.

    I was happy to get a good deal on a TomTom, but it has been renovated. He arrived and was easy to get very fast running. But apparently, when you buy a unit of furniture, you do not receive an update maps as brand new devices. It was a decepción.En Overall, I like the camera.     If the trailer Tom Toms on the past is the best of the bunch. What I like is this model defines the name of the road turn. Icons also show that the channels, you must be on the road. Much easier to use my previous units. The downside, that’s life of the battery is only one hour, when not connected to external power. His point of interest must be loaded on a PC with Windows and Macintosh. With a Mac you get a “phantom” POI, for any reason inexplicable.Hay many ways more favorable to itself cons.     He has owned this model for about a month. Introduction to a renovated, then finally came back and got a new one. The problem with the phones are refurbished, comes with maps that are a year and refurbished warranty does not include the new card. Usually, this would not be a problem, but. There is a difference with what is in the renovated and is located in a new update. One of the outlets of the GO 630 is Advanced Lane Guidance. One characteristic that most clearly shows what should be in the way that I found through experience that the old maps have only a small fraction of roads that support this, so that the update adds a lot more. In ancient maps, only came once in my travels, it is now in many others. This greatly improves the usefulness of dispositivo.Otras considerations: If you buy this unit via Bluetooth, look elsewhere. It is simply not reliable, and TomTom CS is useless. A long arm is all that is needed. Duh! For the rest of the screen. The colors seem to change randomly, most information is in letters and numbers that are difficult to see without a magnifying glass, and mapping is a little cartoon. They also lack a tone of warning before vueltas.En summary, there are some features that this unit has other brands that are not, such as Map Share, and IQ Routes, but many defects. If you buy it, go for a new, not a refurbished phone and if BT is not a major need, opt for the cheaper 340 Rating: 2 / 5
