Sliding GPS Mount
The idea of not using a suction cup for my GPS sounded great, so I ordered this product. It is a weighted GPS mount that sits on your dashboard. The only problem is that it's not weighted enough, so it does slide around a bit, especially when you turn or hit a speed bump.


Works great with my StreetPilot c330
I ordered this mount two days ago after my ancient StreetPilot's usb port broke... which is, now, months after the suction cup mount flung itself from my windshield, thereby breaking off the round plug power port. I truly wish the friction mount came with the unit instead of the suction cup mount. The friction mount is more user-friendly and, actually, must safer since I can tell when the unit is sliding rather than simply flying off at a moment's notice. The mount, cradle, and power cable all worked perfectly with my c330 and, as I backed down and drove up my steep driveway, nothing moved. Now, instead of leaving the mount attached to the windshield when parked, I can simply move it to my car floor. Safer all around! The only negatives I have is that the little pads glued to the bottom of this mount are not very secure. I predict that I will need to re-glue these myself but that is a small price to pay, if you ask me! I also think that these mounts are WAY too expensive, especially considering that we are having to purchase these to replace broken mounts due to faulty design.


Nice item
My old window suction cup mount needed replacing because the last time it fell off the glass, it damaged the power connecter on the mount. I ordered what I thought was another window mount but turned out I accidentally ordered the dashboard friction mount. After hesitating a few days to open it, I decided to go ahead and try it. It works fine and moving it from one vehicle to another is easier!


Garmin Dashboard Mount--MORE than I expected!!
I was a bit concerned when I ordered this mount that it wouldn't be what I hoped it would be. It is terrific! Easy to use...works great! GPS does not move at all when mounted. So much closer than the suction cup mount! Would buy it again with no hesitation whatsoever!!1


Great Investment
I toyed with buying a new GPS unit for our second car, but thought twice when I saw this convenient mount that makes it easy for me to move my older Garmin c340 from one vehicle to another. I highly recommend it to people looking for a thrifty solution.

    I do not think you must hold a PhD in physics to understand this. It weighs much heavier than a child / children toddler mirror, however, has no glue on hold. . . weight. However, if you stand with young children on board, you will receive a ticket for having one of those people espejos.Una children remains in his seat by weight alone, and what happens to a person who is not distorted in accident? This person may becomne a rebound shot and killed three other passengers boarded. . . . Now think of what a small dense object, would lead the children in a rear seat. . . Rating: 2 / 5

    Uh, I do not know if this thought has crossed my mind, but if you have an accident, it is assumed that going ahead just before being hit, right? Newton’s laws of physics state that if there is a sharp change in direction, an object tends to move in the same direction as it was before the change of direction. Therefore, if a car is moving forward and stopped suddenly, an object that is no guarantee that will continue to move forward. the unit would definitely fly and hit the windshield in caso.la only way would be to go and hit someone in the back seat is if you’re driving in reverse at a ridiculous speed and make stop screaming, suddenly. and if you do this, your children deserve to have hit a little.     This configuration does not work at all! Never mounted on the dashboard, and move the car! I do not think anyone should receive. I do not think the windshield is pretty good, so I bought this mount on the dashboard until it has been GPS. However, the windshield is big! Rating: 1 / 5

    I have not had the opportunity to use this product as Amazon has delayed sending the GPS unit for more than five weeks. Very disatisfying. Do not blame the product I think. Rating: 3 / 5
