September 16, 2009

Most:

- Somewhat sensible (even in large metropolitan)
- Starting rather early even after loss of signal
- Good ergonomics thanks to its wide-screen
- Robust
- System setting to share break-witted
- Speaker Nickel: clear path is understandable
- Software compatible Macintosh (Mac OS X)
- Customizable (for those who like to customize their : image host etc …)
- Ability to recharge the by connecting (via USB) to a computer before departure.
- Autonomy without connection to the cigarette lighter very correct (over an hour) (thus we can use it on foot, in town for example).
- Quality / price excellent
- Recalculates route quickly (few seconds)
- Guaranteeing update at the first use of (and we have the opportunity to have the last card available to load into the device regardless of the time of purchase)

The -:

- No , so has limited 2GB memory (no problem if we do not add too many “gadgets”)
- Transfer from one computer to slow (very very very slow: several hours to load a … Europe!)
- Database radar pay (but can find free on the internet)
- No cover supplied with the unit
- No adjustment of brightness of the screen (but not very penalizing)

After several months of use, I think this completed its function, I was reluctant to use this type of device, I am not disappointed.
He took me out of business more than once.
Thus the displacements are stress free …

The software that comes with the is OK but could be improved. (Though to back up his before manipulation, otherwise all is lost …)
I have about this contact the VAS (problem updating ), the response was rapid but incomplete. Fortunately the internet there are special forums on which have found solutions.

The device works very well and has an ergonomic enough.
The display although “” is not very large, depending on where one places ( too remote = low ).
The big worry, unacceptable on a camera so successful, is the USB plug that stuck and arranged in L instead of being just right on the cable.
At first use, the plug is stuck so hard that I had to remove it with pliers, and cable is dead!
Thank you to Amazon for free replacement of the cable with another of a different brand ( in this case), which is easily removed.

I am very satisfied with this product in general. It meets my expectations and beyond. The options are very rich.
I hesitate to purchase the GM if mine had a break or other.
However, I find it unfortunate that the options in language, Arabic is not present.

Moving from paper to TOM-TOM, it’s like moving from a direction normal to the steering, is comfortable and convenient, right out of the box. We do not know the camera and we went on vacation the next day! In the final paper remained in the trunk of the car during the holidays. We appreciated the quick re-calculation of new routes and display the specific determination of the correct file if multi-lane roads. They will continue to test the updating

Nothing wrong with the camera itself, except perhaps setting system that is not top when the camera is set flat on a patch for vacuum aspiration because of the is obviously not great. On important routes (especially when the sun is directly on the cup) it tends to detach … The time of catching the is indeed long (2 to 3 minutes if you have not updated the positions of the (which is very easy to do when the device is plugged into the computer) 1 to 2 minutes only otherwise). This is moderately disabling to the extent that planning is done from the ignition of the device with the stored position when off it. Once the update, a of the route is completed (prior to taking into account the previously set, but further tests deserve to be done to make sure)

Regarding the version of 8, the Planning activated sometimes “strange”, but travel times are given relatively reliable … A test, however, more! The of routes where one goes the route shown are fast enough.

Attention radar that installs on first use is completely obsolete! It is imperative to update!

I’m staying for now broadly satisfied with this purchase.

This is easy to use simply mind-blowing. Without reading the manual (very brief) they soon became familiar with the tool.
When you turn the , it takes a little time to synchronize with a , but once connected, it never loses the signal and route is very fast. The large screen provides great readability route to take.
Only flat, software usage Home it is mandatory to use is well done and easy to use, but as stated in other reviews, backups and updates of and software are very long because the has only a USB1 port.
Considering the price displayed and the services provided by is an excellent deal.

I think this has an excellent value for money. Easy to use, pretty, fast, intuitive. Of course it has the characteristics that have made a name for and rightly so. MapShare function which allows the card to correct oneself, updating the card personalization … Etc.

I could not find the chose the most logical route but ultimately it has allowed me to explore other routes which are sometimes more convenient and faster because they avoid , fires … Etc.

a big positive point: the advance technology that indicates lane, using an accurate representation of the motorway exit, take that. Can not go wrong.

I am very satisfied with my purchase
